What is Volunteer Leadership Weekend?
It is a weekend that brings alumni, parent, faculty and staff volunteers to campus to receive training and updates in areas in which they are currently engaged or for which they have expressed interest. It is a weekend of camaraderie and provides the opportunity for volunteers to meet one another and share ideas.
What will volunteers get out of participating in Volunteer Leadership Weekend?
- An update on The Association of Southwestern University Alumni and the University's plans for the upcoming year.
- An opportunity to get a head start on planning for 2011.
- Essential training for volunteer roles.
- A chance to network with other volunteers and exchange ideas.
- Opportunities to provide feedback to University staff and The Association leadership.
- FUN by showing your Pirate pride!
Who is invited to Volunteer Leadership Weekend?
Volunteers who work collaboratively with the Offices of Admission, Alumni and Parent Relations, Annual Giving and Development, and the Athletic Department are invited to attend. They include:

Simple! Fill out the online Volunteer Interest Form, or send an e-mail to the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations with the following information:
- Name (including your maiden name, if applicable).
- Class Year (if applicable).
- Current contact information (preferred phone number, mailing address and preferred e-mail address).
- What area(s) interest you.
