What can you do for SU?

Refer Students
When you refer a student, you are essentially providing an introduction between Southwestern and a prospective student. Use our online referral form and print out an application fee waiver form to present to the student you have referred. If you are wondering about the caliber of students Southwestern is searching for, visit our "Who We're Looking For" page for a general scope of the incoming first-year student.

Share Your Southwestern Experience
Tell your own personal Southwestern story often. Sharing your Southwestern Experience is one of the most powerful ways to communicate what distinguishes SU from other colleges. Talk to employers, teachers, youth leaders, high school counselors and anyone who might not know about Southwestern.

Promote Southwestern
Be loud and proud. Wear a Southwestern t-shirt. Show off your Southwestern ring. Put a decal on your car. Forward Southwestern news stories by e-mail or through social media. Identify yourself as a Southwestern graduate on your Facebook account. We may be a small school, but that doesn’t mean our presence has to be!

Support Southwestern
Volunteer. Share your ideas. Make a gift. Every gift matters!

Alumni and parent volunteers gather at Volunteer Leadership Weekend (Jan. 29, 2011). This is their reaction to the news that the University will retain the name "Southwestern University."
In the calendar year 2010, 580 alumni (ranging from the Class Years 1942 - 2009) volunteered their time and energy towards Southwestern programming. The student newspaper, The Megaphone, acknowledged their contributions in their weekly publication on Jan. 27, 2011. THANK YOU to all our volunteers!
