The Homecoming Parade is a highlight every year and this year it is being held on the Georgetown Square. Students, alumni and other members of the Southwestern community use their creativity to show their Pirate pride! Children and family members of all ages are encouraged to enjoy this tradition on Friday, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m. Immediately following the parade is the Pirates Pep Rally. Join Head Football Coach Joe Austin and the team as they gear up for the Homecoming game on Saturday.
Just as they did in 1909, the Homecoming Picnic is a time-honored tradition. Families and friends gather on the Roy H. Cullen Academic Mall to enjoy some local barbeque. Activities will be set out for children to enjoy while parents can monitor them from nearby tables. The Picnic will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tickets are required to attend and may be purchased through the online pre-registration form through Tuesday, Oct. 22. Prices are $12 for adults, $6 for children (12 and under), and children 6 and under are free.
What can be more fun than cheering for the home team? For details about each activity, please visit the Homecoming and Reunion Weekend online schedule of events.
